I was so excited to photograph this wedding – the couple were planning a really fun winter wedding with a traditional ceremony and a live band for the reception. Unfortunately, it was delayed by almost a year (331 days to be exact) due to the pandemic, but it was definitely worth the wait!
I love photographing weddings at The Venue, it’s a converted mill with lots of rustic charm and it always looks incredible.

THE EXCITEMENT BEFORE THE WEDDING
I started at Bowers Mill Apart Hotel, where the girls were getting ready, and it was so much fun because everyone was in a great mood. The bride wore a stunning Made With Love dress and the groom wore a three-piece suit and they looked really incredible. He surprised her with a gift before the wedding too. She received the Tiffany promise ring she had been wanting!
THE VOWS
The wedding took place at The Venue Bowers Mill and was a stunning ceremony to photograph. They had a reading from one of their guests, which was so beautiful.
After the ceremony, they walked down the aisle together, and then the celebrations began. Everyone was smiling and hugging each other and it was lovely to see. I got so many lovely candid shots of family and friends embracing!
PHOTOS AFTER THE CEREMONY
Emily K Weddings lovingly decorated The Bowers room for their wedding reception. It was really unique with long trestle tables and longs of greenery and candles.
It was a cold winter day, which didn’t bother the couple at all! Guests were more than happy to party inside the whole night. While everyone hung out at the bar, we wandered down to the pagoda for a few natural photos. Check out the photo where they’re both standing on the pagoda laughing! It’s my favourite photo from our couples session because they look so relaxed!
During the reception, they had a surprise singing waiter, which went down a storm! Everyone was on their chairs dancing and waving napkins. There was so much photo potential! For the wedding breakfast, they had a slap-up meal, and it was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, everyone hit the dancefloor and the band really kept the party atmosphere going into the night.
