The Fig House at Middleton Lodge is one of my favourite wedding venues! It’s the perfect venue for many reasons, but here are just 5 to get you thinking!

5 Reasons The fig House is an Incredible Venue
1 – The Light
The light in the Fig House is incredible. There are huge arched windows and doors which stretch the length of the venue on three sides. There are also huge skylights in the roof. The windows let in so much natural light which means that if you get married here, your photos will be stunning and evenly lit no matter what the weather!
2 – The Style
The Fig House is effortlessly stylish and modern, but still has so much heart and soul. The exposed brick and climbing foliage give it warmth whilst the natural stone floor, neutral walls and dark grey door and window frames really give it a fresh modern look. No matter what style of wedding or colour scheme you are planning on, The Fig House will suit anything you throw at it.
3 – The Garden
My favourite thing about the Fig House, and the most special thing, in my opinion, has to be the walled garden. The doors to the Fig House open out onto a terrace and lawn surrounded by gorgeous lush gardens. Created by Tom Stuart-Smith, the ‘Kitchen Garden’ is split into sections which are designed to offer something different from season to season, as a result, wedding photos in the garden will look amazing in the spring and winter.
4 – The Location
The Fig House is part of the Middleton Lodge Estate. It is tucked away in a remote location near Middleton Tyas North Yorkshire. It’s surrounded by farmers’ fields which means that there’s no need to worry about waking anyone up with your wedding celebrations! Middleton Lodge is also only a 5-minute drive from exit 53 of the A1(M) so it’s really easy for your wedding guests to find.
5 – The Accommodation
Middleton Lodge has a number of different areas of accommodation for your wedding guests to take advantage of during their stay. This includes The Dairy (pictured below), The Orchard, Farmhouse and Main House. The Fig House also has its own accommodation which also opens out straight into the walled garden. ‘The Potting Shed’ is used for the wedding party to get ready so they can be close to the ceremony area.
I hope these 5 reasons to get married at The Fig House help in your mission to find the perfect wedding venue! To see how your wedding at the Fig House could look, check out this colourful styled shoot.
